Amana Roots Counselling was founded in recognition of the growing need for culturally informed and identity-conscious therapeutic services within the community. As a South Asian, Muslim, and BIPOC therapist, Yasmeen Mohsin draws upon both her lived experience and professional training in psychotherapy to create a space where individuals can safely explore identity, relational patterns, and trauma.
Motivated by a commitment to culturally responsive and trauma-informed care, she established this practice to support individuals seeking a space that honors the complexity of their backgrounds while fostering psychological safety, insight, and healing.
